Supervision
"There is but one way to avoid mistakes: to do nothing or, at least to avoid doing something new. This, however, may be the greatest mistake of all .... The unkown lends an insecure foothold and venturing into it, one can hope for no more than that the possible failure will be an honourable one." Szent-Gyorgi
I offer individual and group supervision to staff, students and volunteers in the public, private and voluntary sectors working with adults and young people. I am currently supervising Counsellors and Psychotherapists, Drug and Alcohol Workers, Youth and Community Workers, Support Workers and Mental Health Workers (See Staff Development page for list a of organisations I have worked with).
I believe supervision is crucial in a wide range of professions. I provide opportunities for practitioners to resource, develop and support themselves as well as ensuring safe and effective practice. I have over twelve years experience supervising in public, voluntary and private sectors and draw upon extensive practice experience working with individuals, groups and organizations.
I have undertaken additional training in Supervision and Groupwork and hold a Certificate in Supervision through the Centre for Supervision and Training Development in Bath (CSTD). See also Staff Development.
